Anger is one of the evil whispers of Shaytaan, which leads to so many evils and tragedies. For this reason the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described cures for this "disease" and ways to limit its effects. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If any of you becomes angry and he is standing, let him sit down, so his anger will go away; if it does not go away, let him lie down."
Anger has ruined many people’s lives; one among them is Mohammed Omer, Cherlapally jail inmate, who is languishing in jail on murder charges. Today he regrets why he did not control his anger.
29 year old prisoner Mohammed Omer resident of Maula Ali is one among the Cherlapally jail inmates who are busy preparing prison stall at Numaish. He told that in the year 2003 he had murdered his neighbour on a petty issue. He confessed that he had done a big mistake falling prey to friends’ advice.
Omer promised that once he is released he will spend the rest of his life like a good citizen. He hopes that he will be released on January 26, when several prisoners who have shown good conduct are released by the government. He admitted that anger has landed him behind the bars.
