Hyderabad, December 31: The world Urdu editors’ conference organised by Siasat daily is continued at Jubilee Hall public garden which is not only one of the most beautiful buildings of Hyderabad but of whole India. The clear proof of this is that it has been honoured with Heritage award in 2011.
In 1894 there was a simple Darbar Hall at the place. Before 1937 it was called Royal palace. Later it was named Silver Jubilee Hall. It derives its name from the silver jubilee celebrations in 1937 to commemorate the Nizam VII coronation. The magnificent and beautiful building was constructed in the period of 7th Nizam. It was built in 1913. This splendid building stands amidst spacious green lawns in the Bagh-e-Aam.
This hall is now used as a conference hall. In the courtyard, a small historic pavilion reminds us of the late Nizam, who held Darbars here.
Siasat has organised World Urdu Editors Conference in this splendid Jubilee Hall where editors from across the world attended the conference.
The conference was inaugurated by Vice President of India Mr. Mohammad Hamed Ansari on December 30. The conference is being presided over by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan.
