18th International Children’s Film Festival inauguration today

Hyderabad, November 11:

Govt. of A.P. is organizing 18th International Children’s Film Festival from 14th to 19th November in the city. Mr. Bimal Jhulka, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Mr. Dana Kishore Commissioner Dept. of Information and Public Relations, Govt. of A.P. and Mr. Ragvendera Singh, Joint Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting informed this while talking to newsmen yesterday. Dr. P.K. Mohenty, IAS, Chief Secretary of A.P. was also present. He is the Chairman of Festival organizing committee. He informed that 894 entries have been received for this festival. He further said that 200 films from 48 countries will be exhibited. Daily 30 films would be exhibited in ten theaters of the city. It is expected that 1.5 lakh children will see this films. He informed that 16 awards will be given in four categories. He further informed that Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P. will inaugurate the film festival at Telugu Kala Thoranum, Public Garden. Mr. Ranveer Kapoor and Mr. Gulzar will the Guests of Honour. Governor of A.P, Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan will be the Chief Guest.
