35 yr old ‘stone baby’ removed from 70 yr old woman’s womb

Mahboobnagar, February 5: In a strange operation, doctors of SVS hospital, Mahboobnagar, removed a 35 year old ‘stone baby’ from a 70 year old woman’s womb. Even though the woman delivered 3 children after the said incomplete pregnancy whose ages are between 25-30 years and are alive.

Doctors have to say that this is the 301st case so far in the whole world. Dr. Ram Reddy resident doctor SVS hospital narrating the details regarding this said 70 year old Antamma resident of Mominpur (Madur Mandal) was complaining of stomach pain for quite some time. She was admitted into the hospital on January 25. After several checkups it was found that the woman has a ‘stone baby’ which has come down in the stomach in the course of time and its length is said to be 14 inches.

Hence with a successful operation the ‘stone baby’ was removed after 35 years. A team comprising of Dr. Prashant, Dr. Anandram Rao and Dr. Hari Prabhakar performed the surgery. The stone baby had hands, feet and head which were entangled among themselves.
