Telangana government issued orders declaring October 5 as general holiday on the occasion of Bakrid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) and October 13 (Monday) as optional holiday on the occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer.
The Chief Executive Officer Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board, Hyderabad had recommended general holiday on the occasion of Bakrid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) on October 6 (Monday) instead of October 5 (Sunday) and optional holiday on the occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer on October 14 (Tuesday) instead of October 13 (Monday), as per moon sight.
Accordingly, the TS government decided to change the general holiday on the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) to October 6 (Monday) instead of October 5 (Sunday) and optional Holiday on the occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer to October 14 (Tuesday) instead of October 13 (Monday). (NSS)
