Best Journalist Awards Announced

The State government has accepted recommendations of the Awards Committee for 2008, 2009 and 2010 for selection of names to the various Journalist Awards.
The recipients of the journalists awards for 2008 are: Dr Turlapati Kutumba Rao (V.R. Narla Life Time Achievement Award), Nandiraju Radhakrishna, senior Journalist, “Vaartha” Telugu daily (B.Nageswara Rao, Best Journalist Award), Sridhar Naidu, veteran photographer, Hyderabad (M.A. Raheem, Best Photographer Journalist Award), V. Satyanarayana Rao, Senior Reporter, “Andhra Jyothi”, Narsipatnam, Visakapatnam District (Khasa Subba Rao, Best Rural Journalist Award), Vanam Venkateshwarlu, Bureau Chief, “Surya” Telugu. Daily, Khammam (M. Narsing Rao, Best Rural Journalist Award), Narender Pulloor, Staff Reporter, “Deccan Chronicle”, Nizamabad (Shoebulla Khan, Best Rural Journalist Award), Naga Durga Bhavani, Reporter, “Andhra Jyothi”, Hyderabad.( Best Women Journalist Award), Vemuri Balram, Editor, “Swathi” Weekly, Vijayawada (Madduri Annapurnaiah Award), M. Venkateshwara Rao, Cartoonist, “Andhra Jyothi”, (Best Cartoonist Award), Syed Basith Mohiuddin Ali, Asst Editor, “Etemaad” Urdu daily (Abid Ali Khan Best Urdu Journalist Award), Rehana Begum, Sr. Reporter, NTV, Hyderabad (Best Electronic Media Journalist Award) and S. Ramesh, Videographer, ETV (Best Videographer Award).
The recipients of the journalists awards for 2009 are: P. Vaman Rao (V.R. Narla Life Time Achievement Award), C.R. Gowri Shanker, Political Editor, “Deccan Chronicle”, Hyderabad (B. Nageswara Rao, Best Journalist Award), K. Bhaskara Rao, veteran Photographer, Visakhapatnam (M.A. Raheem, Best Photographer Journalist Award), Bolgum Srinivas, Sr. Reporter, “Sakshi” Telugu daily, Karimnagar (Khasa Subba Rao, Best Rural Journalist Award), Ganjivarapu Srinivas, Contributor, “Eenadu”, Narsipatnam, Visakhapatnam District (M. Narsing Rao, Best Rural Journalist Award), Emineni Ravi Chandra, Bureau Chief, “Andhra Bhoomi”, Anantapur (Shoebulla Khan Best Rural Journalist Award), Arjumand Bano, Reporter, “Rastriya Sahara” Urdu daily (presently in “Etemaad” (Best Women Journalist Award), Dolendra Prasad, Editor, “Zamin Rythu” Weekly, Nellore (Madduri Annapurnaiah Award), Best Cartoonist Award (No entries received), Rasia Nayeem Hashmi, Online Editor, “Siasat” Urdu Daily (Abid Ali Khan, Best Urdu Journalist Award), N. Narsing Rao, Best Rural Journalist Award), Shoebulla Khan, Best Rural Journalist Award not awarded as no story came up to the standard.
