Hyderabad, December 08:

In protest against the delay in formation of separate Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata Party will organise a dharna at Indira Park here on Sunday.

According to BJP Telangana Udyama Committee Chairman Dr T Rajeshwara Rao, the party would organise fasts in all the Assembly constituencies on December 9, 10 and 11. BJP's national spokesperson Prakash Javedkar, State BJP President G Kishan Reddy and other senior leaders will participate in dharna at Indira Park.

The BJP leader informed that the dharna was being organised on the third anniversary of non-implementation of promise made by the then Union Home Minister P Chidambaram stating that the Centre would begin the process of formation of Telangana. He said the promise was repeated in both the Houses of Parliament. However, he said that the Centre has completely forgotten its promise which consequently led over 900 youth from the region to commit suicide.

Rajeshwara Rao said that Congress party was trying to cheat the people of the region again by announcing all-party meeting on December 28, according to a press release. (INN)
