BJP Demands Quota To Dalits In Pvt Sector Too

BJP State president G Kishan Reddy here on Thursday demanded that the State government implement statutory status to the SC/ST sub-plans from the present financial year.

Kishan Reddy garlanded a photo of Dr B R Ambedkar in the BJP office here and paid tributes to the legendary leader on the occasion of his death anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said though the State government introduced SC/ST Sub-Plan Bill in the Legislative Assembly, it was now claiming that the Bill needs to be sent to the Centre. During the 2004 elections, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had promised reservations to Dalits in private sector too, but the promise remained a promise only till date.
The BJP leader demanded that the Centre introduce reservations to the SCs and STs in the private sector also. (NSS)
