February 21:

Hyderabad, February 21 (Siasat News): Dy. Leader of TDP in Legislative Council Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Masquati said that the budget allocated for the minorities is very disappointing.

Commenting on the allocation of Rs. 489 crore for the Welfare of Minorities, Mr. Masquati told that the claim of the Govt. for the enhancement of 62% budget allocation is only for namesake. Govt. is cheating the minorities. Out of this budget Rs. 220 crore will be spent on fees reimbursement, Rs. 96 crore for Scholarships. In this way for educational activities Rs. 316 will be spent.

Only Rs. 173 crore will be left out for the other welfare activities for minorities. He told that Scholarships and fees amounts should not be made part of the budget. Such facility is given to SCs, STs and BCs outside the budgets of those departments.

He wondered how is it possible to carry out welfare activities for minorities within Rs. 173 crore. He said TDP schemes have been abandoned by Congress Govt.
