test(Siasat News) Govt. has broken all the previous records by enhancing the budget for the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. Now the budget is Rs. 489 crore which is Rs. 188 crore more than the previous year’s budget. This works out to 62% enhancement. The increase of budget allocation for Minorities Dept. is the maximum.
Dr. Mohammed Ali Rafat, Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare expressed his satisfaction for budget allocation for his department.
It is proposed to establish Commissioner’s office for Minorities Welfare Dept. which will facilitate the smooth functioning and quick disposed of the cases. There is also a proposal of electronic mapping of Wakf properties. According to Secretary of Minorities Dept. an amount of Rs. 13.20 crore have been allotted for the repairs of Muslim Graveyards, Mosques etc., Dr. Mohammed Ali rafath by sending additional proposals got the budget of his department increased from Rs. 437 crore to Rs. 489 crore.
