Charge sheet in rape case filed after 18 months

December 24:

Hyderabad, December 24: It took 18 long months for the city police to file charge sheet in a case of rape of a minor girl by the director of Parkwood School International. The charge sheet confirmed the allegations of rape of the minor girl against the Parkwood School director Mohammed Salahuddin Ayub. It may be recalled Ayub had repeatedly raped one of the girl students of the school inside the campus at Vikarabad and also at his house in Banjara Hills.

A case was registered against him on June 20, 2010 and he was arrested two days later. He was released on bail a few months ago, but the Supreme Court cancelled the bail recently and sent the sex maniac behind bars again. What is shocking is that even after several months, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was yet to give its report after analysing the vaginal swabs, nail clippings and pubic hair of the rape victim. However, the Central Crime Station (CCS) of Hyderabad police, which probed the case, had filed the charge sheet on Friday.

According to the chargesheet, entries made in the staff entry and exit register showed that the accused used to take girls outside the school campus. The charge sheet also says that Ayub used to take pictures and videos of girl students, store them on his cell phone and laptop and enjoyed watching them. This makes clear that Ayub was a sex maniac and planned his targets while watching the pictures and videos.

The charge sheet, however, said the investigators could not trace the nude pictures and videos of the rape victim taken by the accused. The charge sheet said that the accused began raping the girl in April 2010 by giving some sedative mixed in a cold drink and then continued raping her by threatening to make public the nude pictures and videos of the girl.

The investigations confirmed molestation by the accused of another girl and aborting of pregnancy for the rape victim at Elbit Diagnostic Centre in Banjara Hills. The charge sheet said the investigations established that the accused had misused his position as director and behaved indecently with girl students of the school and raped one of them. It urged the court to begin trial in the case and punish the accused.
