New Delhi, Nov 25: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has rejected BJP's allegations of misuse of public funds during last year's Assembly polls. Responding to a notice issued by Lokayukta Justice Manmohan Sarin, Dikshit said there was nothing wrong in spending government funds on advertisements before the elections last year to highlight the achievements of her government.

The Lokayukta has now given two weeks' time to BJP leader Vijender Gupta, the complainant in this case, to file his rejoinder to Dikshit's reply. The notice was issued after Gupta filed a petition accusing Dikshit and her party colleagues of misusing public money for advertisement campaigns.
