The threat posed by terrorist outfits in Iraq and Syria which are recruiting several western citizens to their organization, is something that the United States will have to deal with for the next decade, said U.S’s House Homeland Security Committee. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, the head of the House Homeland Security Committee, told reporters attending the Aspen Institute”s annual national security forum yesterday that it is the biggest threat to the homeland because the new western recruits are passport-holders and can therefore blend in easily, ABC News reported. Expressing concern over Syria, where the biggest safe-haven for terrorists in the world is cultivating a union between expert bomb-makers from Yemen, Al Qaeda associates in Syria and the Al Nusrah Front, McCaul said that the organizations have joined hands to develop a new generation of explosives that can be smuggled without getting detected.
