Dissident Congress MLA’s may be disqualified

Sixteen Congress MLA’s who defied Govt. whip will face disciplinary action soon. The resignation of Praja
Rajyam, MLA Ms. Shobha Nagi Reddy is likely to be accepted. These MLA’s had voted for Jagan Mohan
Reddy’s YSR Congress. Speaker of Assembly, Mr. N. Manohar had issued notices to these MLA’s seeking
their explanations. These MLA’s refused to meet the speaker.

Mr. Manohar hinted that an action would be taken before the budget session of the Assembly. The speaker
has also sought legal opinion.
