Islamabad, December 10:

Eight people, including three policemen, were killed Monday in a brazen attack by Islamists on a police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The police station is located 15 km from Bannu city, Geo News reported.

The militants lobbed grenades and opened fire, killing five people who had just offered prayers.

Police said four of the attackers were also killed in a counter-attack while a search was on for another man.
