Hyderabad, February 04: President of All India Mahila Congress, Ms.Anita Verma applauded the efforts of the Govt for empowering women.She demanded the state Govt to constitutu Women's Commission soon.
Ms. Anita Verma participated in various programmes held in Nalgonda and Nizamabad.She was talking to newsmen at Gandhi Bhavan after meeting the C.M of A.P Ms. Ganga Bhavani, President of A.P Mahila Congress was also present on this occassion.
Ms. Verma told that Ms.Sonia Gandhi is taking steps for the eradication of illiteracy, unemployeement and social backwardness of women.Separate banks are being opened for womwn.Several schemes exclusively for women are being launched.Subsidy of Rs 25 is given on L.P.G cylinders.
