November 23:

Hyderabad, November 23: User Development fees collected at the Shamshabad airport is the highest in India. GMR collects Rs. 1875 for International travels and Rs. 475/- for domestic journeys. India has 92 airports out of which 12 are international airports. It is compulsory for all the passengers to pay User Development Fees. The lowest rate of fees is collected at Thuriuchurapally airport. At Ahmedabad airport, overseas passengers pay only Rs. 458 and for the internal travel they pay only Rs. 121/-

Despite charging heavy fees, the airport authorities have not been providing better facilities. Taxi drivers complain that they have to pay heavy fees for parking. The other arrangements for passengers are not adequate.
