Former Playboy model Brandi Brandt faces life term in Oz jail for drug smuggling

Melborne, September 26:

Former Playboy model and actor Brandi Brandt along with her ex-former boyfriend and co-conspirator, motorcycle stuntman Rusty Setser are reportedly seeking extradition to Australia to avoid legal battle in the US over their role in cocaine importation syndicate.

Brandt,44, has been held up in the Los Angeles’ Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) over accusations that she and Setser together hid packages of cocaine on Qantas and United Airlines passenger planes that flew from California to Sydney.

According to The Age, Brandt faces life-term imprisonment in Australia and along with Setser has consented to extradition in order to avoid lengthy court battles in Los Angeles.

Brandt is expected to spend another couple of months in the MDC jail till the time officials in Australia and the US complete the paperwork for her extradition.

The report said that Brandt and Setser have been charged in Australia with counts of conspiracy to import a commercial quantity of cocaine and dealing with the proceeds of crime worth 1, 00,000 dollars or more. (ANI)
