Hyderabad, July 20: Regretting remarks made on Telangana at Beijing, China, union health minister and incharge Andhra Pradesh Congress affairs Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad made a call to senior Congress leader Dr. K Keshav Rao on Tuesday also and advised to reach Delhi for dialogue. Dr. Keshav Rao pressed Mr. Azad to clarify publicly. It must be recalled that Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad had also called Dr. K Keshav Rao and Mr. K Jana Reddy on Monday and called them to Delhi for dialogue on Telangana issue. But reviewing on the matter in extension meeting of Telangana Congress and also in Telangana steering Committee meeting the invitation was rejected. They have decided not to meet Mr. Azad till he withdraws from his remark on Telangana made at Beijing, China. Reliable sources said that on Tuesday also Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad called Dr. Keshav Rao and stressed the need for dialogue on which Mr. Rao told ‘we are not against dialogue but the remarks you have passed regarding Telangana in Beijing have hurt the leaders and people of Telangana due to which all are offended.’
Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad told that media have presented the distorted version of his remark on which he is regretful.
