Hyderabad, December 17:

(Siasat News) A meeting was held by Telangana Praja Front to demand Singarenie Collieries authorities to reinstate its dismissed employees from the four districts of Telangana. Revolutionary poet Gaddar addressed the meeting on phone and said that the Union should be pressurized to take up the matter pertaining to employees of Singarenie Collieries dismissed since 1993 onwards. He appealed to all the other employees’ unions to come forward to support this issue. He expressed his surprise that even after the dismissal of thousands of employees, these unions are keeping quiet.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. M. Ved kumar, Vice President of the Front said that eversince its inception, Telangana Praja Front has been struggling for reinstating the dismissed employees of Singarienie Collieries. He informed that on the representation of the Front, the management had invited 2049 dismissed employees for interview but only six employees were reinstated. He informed that many employees committed suicide and some of them died of ailments. There is no one to look after their descendants. He blamed that management that it had assured that it would reinstate employees who were dismissed after 2009 but it didn’t fulfill its promise. He demanded the management to give Rs. 8 lakh as an ex-gratia for the deceased employees and to reinstate all the employees.
