India won in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, October 15: England after a good and tough fightback have lost against India. Everyone has played a major part in this match. M S Dhoni is the Man of the Match.
India 1st Innings 300 / 7 in 50 Overs
England 2nd Innings 174 / 10 in 36.1 Overs
England need 301 runs to win

After Dhoni elected to bat, Parthiv Patel and Ajinkya Rahane opened the batting for India. Rahane was dropped in the slip by Jonathan Trott in the second over. Soon after that Parthiv was run out when Rahane played a straight drive which tipped Finn's finger and rolled towards the stumps. Parthiv scored just 9 runs.

Gautam Gambhir came in at No. 3 and picked up the scoring rate with good strokes. Graeme Swann came into action after the 10th over as the runs reduced and he also snatched a wicket of Rahane as he dragged him out of his crease to give Craig Kieswetter an easy stumping.

Virat Kohli came in the middle while Gambhir was on a run-a-ball. Jade Dernbach had taken Gambhir's crucial wicket with a slow ball which he tried to slap it away, but missed and was hit on the full just in front of leg stump. Gambhir was out lbw by Dernbach for 32 of 33 balls.

At 79/3 after 18 overs, Indian batsmen were under pressure to put some score on the board. Suresh Raina comes in to bat along side Kohli, they both batted well taking the score to 121 before Kohli was caught in the deep by Kevin Pietersen.

Skipper Dhoni and Raina played the most important part by getting quick runs on the board. They added 72 runs in the 5th wicket in 60 balls. Raina was caught by Bairstow, he tried to hit Finn's wide ball and was caught in the point.

R Jadeja came in and scored a quick 27 with 2 consecutive sixes and a four. Knock of the innings was by the skipper MS Dhoni who scored an unbeaten 87 from 70 balls to help India score 300 runs and give a commanding target of 301 for England in the first ODI.
