Hundreds of new vacancies will be released and filled during the upcoming recruitment exhibition at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The vacancies will be announced for the Emiratis as well as other nationalities at the Tawdheef Recruitment Show, which will run from January 31 until February 2, 2012.

Companies from both the government and private sector will be on hiring spree during the expo, according to the data available on its website.

Among the companies and departments who have already announced vacant positions include Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, National Health Insurance Company (Daman), Mubadala, Dolphin Energy, Emirates NBD, HSBC, Sawaaed Employment, Khalifa University, Oasis Hospital, Millennium Copthrone Hotels, Petrofac Emirates, Tawazun, First Select UAE, Emiratis Jobs and Ershaad.

Local banks will also be hiring the UAE nationals to meet their Emiratisation quotas, a recent statement by the banks said.

Emirates NBD will be looking to add at least 250 Emiratis to its employee roster for 2012.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank’s HR head Waheeb Al Khazraji said the bank has a large number of positions available for right candidates as well as the appropriate career development programmes to help them along their career paths.

Experts say the UAE job market was in a much better shape in 2011 than the year before as the local economy improved and employer sentiment became stronger. They believe that the turmoil in some parts of the region was one of the most important events that shaped the job market in 2011.

Gulf Recruitment Group said in a recent report that UAE’s job market grew last year and this is slated to continue this year as companies expecting accelerated business activity.

At the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Mubadala and Tawazun have advertised to recruit around 230 UAE nationals. Mubadala alone had advertised to hire 110 Emiratis during the exhibition.

More than 315 vacancies for other nationalities will also be released at the Tawdheef Recruitment Show in Abu Dhabi.

According to Tawdheef’s website, 60 jobs will be released by global bank HSBC for the positions of executives, junior, middle and senior management employees. Similarly, 50 vacancies for administrative and academic positions will be available at Tawdheef.

Recruitment agency Sawaaed Employment has also announced nearly 100 jobs to be available at the show. These vacancies are available for all nationalities.

An interview room organised by Ershaad will take candidates through a step-by-step interview process. The first two days of Tawdheef Recruitment Show are reserved for Emirati job seekers only and the final day is open for all other nationalities.
