Mumbai, April 20: Aamir Khan’s film 3 Idiots is one of the biggest grossers in the history of Bollywood but that doesn’t seem to impress Katrina Kaif. It is said that she has refused to play Kareena Kapoor’s role in the Tamil version of 3 Idiots.
The news is doing the rounds that Gemini Films Circuit, that has bought theTamil and Telugu remake rights of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 3 Idiots, approached Katrina to act opposite Vijay, who is playing Aamir’s role, in the Tamil version. However, she has turned down the offer siting unvailabilty of dates. She has Dostana sequel and Zoya Akhtar’s film with Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar lined up for this year.
Following Katrina’s refusal to act in the remake of 3 Idiots, Gemini Films Circuit is said to have approached Kareena Kapoor to play the same role she did in the original. However, she too has turned down the offer siting date problem. She has films like Ra.1, Golmaal 3 and Agent Vinod in the offing.
Well, there seems to be no takers for the Tamil version of 3 Idiots. It looks like the makers of the film will have to settle for a smaller star to act with Vijay.
