Hearing of the case challenging the Wakf Board’s decision to take some Wakf properties under its control is posted for tomorrow. One such property is Makkah Madina Allaudin Trust. Chairman of Wakf Board is showing keen interest in this case. Wakf Board has decided to appoint a special counsil to assist the Wakf pleader. CEO of Wakf Board will supervise the matters relating to the hearing of the case.
Mr. Faheemuddin, Secretary of Security Association had filed a petition in the A.P. High Court against the Managing Trustee Mr. Habeeb Allauddin in 1998 High Court had ordered enquiryng under section 71 of Wakf Act.
Taking advantage of the lethargy of Wakf Board employees, enquiry was kept pending for all these years. Despite submission of enquiry report Wakf Board didn’t take any action so far.
As per the terms and conditions of the Wakf deed, this trust has to extend financial aid to HEH The Nizam and Allaudin Technical Institute, Jamia Nizamia and other charitable institutions.
In the enquiry report such aid should be reflected. Wakf Board recently had passed a resolution to take control of charitable institutions like this but the lethargic employees of Wakf Board are not showing any interest.
