Reports of Aam Aadmi Party workers being harassed on Tuesday and Wednesday have come to the fore. It is said that they were allegedly harassed by Majlis Itehadul Muslimeen workers. The MIM workers attacked 26-year-old, Mohammed Adil Akber, resident of Asman Gadh Coordinator AAP Malakpet constituency leaving him injured. He was attacked near Malakpet fire station when he was going to his residence at 2:30. Meanwhile Majlis workers Zahed Ali Khan and his brother Riyasat Ali Khan allegedly attacked him with sticks. The victim said that the attackers warned him against his activities to promote AAP in Malakpet.
AAP’s Malakpet in charge Mohammed Viquar Husain who is also advocate of the victim told that Adil was rushed to New Life Hospital Chaderghat for treatment where he was admitted in ICU as his nose, head and jaws were badly injured. Investigative officer Dr. Krishna Mohan claimed that the attackers belong to MIM and a case has been registered against the accused under section 341 and 324.
