A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth from her neighbourhood in Chuak area near here, police said today.
The incident took place last night when Dilip Chaudhary (22) barged into the house of the 12-year-old victim and raped her, they said.
However, the accused was caught and badly beaten up by the locals after which he was handed over to the police.
Further probes into the case are on, police added.
