Miss Marple actress Geraldine McEwan dies at 82

Hollywood actress Geraldine McEwan has passed away at the age of 82.

McEwan, known for her roles like Agatha Christie sleuth Miss Marple from 2004 until 2009 on ITV, had suffered a stroke at the end of October, 2014, the BBC reported.

The BAFTA award winner’s son said in a statement that McEwan’s family would like to thank the staff at Charing Cross Hospital who cared for her incredibly well.

The actress, who was born Geraldine McKeown, also won awards for her theatre work, collecting two Evening Standard Best Actress Awards in 1983 for ‘The Rivals’ and in 1995 for ‘The Way Of The World’. (ANI)
