Munir Khan approaches court for anticipatory bail

Mumbai, December 23: Munir Khan, accused of cheating several people with false promises of curing AIDS and cancer with his magical formula 'Body Revive', has approached the sessions court seeking anticipatory bail.

Khan is accused of selling each bottle of the medicine for Rs 15,000 stating that it would cure diseases like AIDS and cancer.

In his anticipatory bail plea, Khan has said that he was innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case.

Munir has claimed that he obtained licence from the Rajasthan government to manufacture the medicines.

The court today gave him interim protection from arrest till Tuesday, when the bail plea would be taken up for hearing.

The Versova police have registered a case of cheating against Munir following complaints from several people.
