Hyderabad, January 1: Members of the Justice Sri Krishna committee looking into the demand for separate Telangana state formation expressed their views appearing on a Television channel on Friday.
A committee member Mr. Abu Saleh Shareef tried to give the impression regarding minorities particularly Muslims and Christians that their own progress is dearer to these two communities than the separate state. He openly said that they wanted to remain in the political system of the mainstream. He even went so far as to say that these communities were not running any independent or separate movement instead they wanted to stay in the mainstream in Andhra Pradesh.
Likewise woman member of the committee Ravinder Kaur also tried to give the impression that women of the state are more interested in their own development rather than separate state. She said most of the organisations expressed apprehensions regarding the development of the state. According to her women were worried that studies of their children may not suffer. They want development of the state. They opined that state witnesses speedy development and there are ample employment opportunities in Hyderabad.
These kind of remarks from the committee members indicate that they tried to present the demand of separate state in wider perspective which would further entangle the issue and would initiate new debates. Besides it would create distance between various communities.

This is such a critical issue why a survey can't be arranged by Govt. so that true picture can be viewed.
