April 04:

Hyderabad, April 04: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) today launched issuance of birth and death certificates through e-Seva centres to citizens living within the Greater Hyderabad limits.

The scheme for issuance of birth, death and non-availability certificates and correction of entries in the births and deaths records is being extended to citizens of GHMC through e-Seva centres covering Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak districts and also extending these services to persons residing across the world through Electronically Deliverable Services (EDS portal) www.esevaonline.com.

Certificates will be delivered at the e-Seva centre or at the residence of the applicant as per their choice on payment of specified courier charges.

The services offered at e-Seva include issue of birth/death certificates for the events already registered in GHMC records (5 working days), any correction in birth and death certificate (10 working days), non-availability certificate if any birth and death event is not registered (20 working days).

Persons have to visit the e-Seva centres, fill in the application form legibly and enclose the necessary documents as per the check-list displayed at the centre and pay the prescribed fee or log on to www.

esevaonline.com and submit necessary information.

Hospitals and heads of families can register the event with the Registrar of Births & Deaths or through e-Seva.

The e-Seva will not charge any fee for the above service and one can get one free certificate under Section 12 of the Central Births & Deaths Registration Act, 1969.
