Researchers at a Canada-based company computing company have come up with a solution for the wandering 21st-century minds.
InteraXon’s Muse headband uses the same EEG technology that doctors use to diagnose and understand epilepsy, strokes and other brain issues, but with just four sensors instead of the hundreds used in a hospital scan.
The Muse headband helps users monitor and sharpen their brain activity. It uses Bluetooth to wirelessly connect to your personal electronic phone or computer, so you can watch and train your brain waves on your Phone, iPad or Android device.
According to the InteraXon, you can improve your concentration, play games, control applications and even pour beer using just the power of your mind.
“Muse will train you to direct your attention to where you want it to be,” the New York Daily News quoted Trevor Coleman, InteraXon’s co-founder and chief operating officer, as saying.
“You’ll be able to hold your focus longer and work harder,” he said.
InteraXon''s brainwave controlled beer tap lets your pour beer with your mind. Just focus all your attention on the tap and beer will come out.
To stop the flow, you’ll have to stop thinking about it.
With just four sensors, compared to the hundreds used in a hospital scan, Muse gives users an overall sense of what’s happening inside your mind. The headband can’t tell you exactly what pictures are running through your brain, but it does understand how you’re feeling.
“The device and application will help you deal with a range of things, like dealing with physical stress and being able to relax on demand,” Coleman added. (ANI)
