In separate cases, three persons including a woman committed suicide due to different reasons.
In Saifabad police limits, 26-year-old A Priyanka committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills at her residence in Chintal Basti. She took the extreme step on July 25 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Wednesday night. According to police, Priyanka was upset with her husband A Vijay who was a habitual drunkard.
In another case, 45-year-old K Lakshman committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Mangod Basti on Thursday morning. According to Habeeb Nagar police, Lakshman, a labourer, was facing some financial problems and the same are suspected to have led him to the extreme step.
In a separate case, 33-year-old K Venu, who consumed some unknown poison, died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday morning. He resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Dwarka Nagar on Wednesday. He was an employee of a private firm. The reasons that led him to suicide are yet to be ascertained, Vanasthalipuram police said.
