Dubai, January 16:

Former International Cricket Council boss, Haroon Lorgat, who is now a consultant for the Pakistan Cricket Board''s new Twenty20 league, has said the Pakistan Super League has huge potential and will attract top foreign players to participate in the event soon.

Lorgat said there are great talents within the country and that the response he has seen for the upcoming league has excited him, reports The Nation. Lorgat, who was the Chief Executive of ICC during a crucial phase, strongly believes that foreign players will return to play in Pakistan. He said the negative perceptions about safety and security are well known but the PCB will put in place a security plan to deal with the risks and perceptions.

He said the enquiries received from international players to play in the league are extremely encouraging. He said Pakistan players are good Twenty20 players as they have serious talent and skill. They appear to work a lot harder these days, he added. They have good process in place to develop their players, their disciplines have also improved and with their skills they will always produce match winners, he further added.
