Hyderabad, December 26 (INN): President of India Smt Pratibha Devisingh Patil arrived in the city on Sunday afternoon for a 10-day stay at the Rashtrapati Nilayam.
The President reached Hyderabad in a special flight at about 12.05 pm. She was received at the Begumpet Airport by Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajnarasimhan, Legislative Council chairman Dr A Chakrapani and others ministers and senior officials. She was given a ceremonial reception at the airport.
Amidst tight police security, Smt Patil directly proceeded to the Rashtrapati Nilayam where she will stay till January 4. She is likely to attend some official events during her stay. She will also visit Sriharikota in Nellore on January 2. (INN)
