Physical Research Laboratory, PRL, announces Junior Research Fellowship Programme for 2014 session. Junior Research Fellowships programme starting in July 2014 will lead to a PhD in the broad areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Planetary Sciences, Geosciences, Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Experimental Laser and Atomic Physics and Theoretical Physics
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences of related disciplines in sciences with first class or equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels
Master’s degree award should be on or after August 2012
Those students expecting a Master’s degree by August 2014 are also eligible to apply
Fellowship: The selected candidates will be offered a consolidated amount of Rs.16,000/- per month for two years which will be raised to Rs.18,000/- in the third year subject to satisfactory academic review

Age Limit: 25 years as on 31st December, 2013 (born on or after 31st December, 1988)

Those students with no access to internet may send their request for a hard copy of the application form by 10th March 2014 (Provided they meet minimum qualifications and age limit as mentioned)
The request should be made along with a self-addressed envelope (25 cm ´ 17 cm) superscribed with “PRL JRF 2014”

The completed application by post/courier/speed post should reach PRL by 30th March 2014
