Hyderabad, February 09:

Social organizations held protests against the State Government appointing persons with political affiliations as Information Commissioners.

The Lok Satta, Save RTI Forum and activists of other organizations held protest rallies for appointing four persons, whose names were rejected by the Governor once, as Commissioners. The RTI Commission has become a political rehabilitation centre to accommodate people who fail to get the people’s mandate and this is against the spirit of RTI Act, they said. (INN)
