The Qurrah (draw or lots) for selection of Hajj pilgrims from general category for Hajj 2015 will be held on March 18, announced Telangana State Hajj Committee Special Officer Prof. SA Shukoor on Thursday. Prof. Shukoor said that the action plan formulated by Central Hajj Committee has been approved by foreign ministry according to which acceptance of applications is complete and now Qurrah will be held on March 18. The Qurrah would be computerised and would be done district-wise. Record number of applications has been received from across the state however the quota is being allotted on the basis of 2001 census. It must be noted that septuagenarians and applicants who applied consecutively for the 4th time will be selected directly without Qurrah. Central Hajj Committee has directed State Committee to complete data entry and scrutiny and editing by March 10.
