Hyderabad, May 18: Qurrah (Draw of Lots) for the selection of pilgrims for Haj 2011 by the Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee will be held today at 10 am at open land adjacent to Haj house.
Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Ullah, Chairman Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee Mr. Syed Khaleel Uddin Ahmed, Executive Officer Haj Committee Mr. G Mahboob Peeran, and Members of Haj committee besides other elected public representatives will be present on the occasion.
Haj committee will select 4379 Haj aspirants through ‘qurrah’ while 1758 Haj aspirants have already been selected without casting lots under reserved category and the remaining Haj aspirants will be selected through qurrah.
According to Haj committee sources drawing of lots for Haj 2011 will be held district-wise. The central Haj Committee has allocated a quota of 6137 Haj aspirants for Andhra Pradesh.
The aspirants selected through qurra will have to pay the 1st installment during the month of June while June 15 will be the last date to submit passports.

This is the first time that the Central Haj committee has not deployed its official to supervise the qurrah since it will supervise the qurrah online.
