September 03:

Hyderabad, September 03: The Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah, on Friday wrote to the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s wife and Pulivendula MLA, Ms Vijayalaxmi, and wives of the remaining four persons were killed in the chopper crash along Dr Reddy, expressing his heart-felt sympathy to their families.

In a letter to Ms Vijayalaxmi, the Chief Minister stated that, “one year passed after the death of head of your family and the State, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. We have not yet fully come out of the sorrow and grief. I can expect how the tragic incident bothered and shocked you as a family member of YSR”.

Mr Rosaiah opined that the State has achieved new speed on the path of development and welfare schemes’ implementation during YSR tenure. Late YSR achieved a place in the hearts of every Telugu person, he added. He also stated that YSR was an unnatural political leader who cannot be avoided in the history in any way.

Hence, the State government has decided to set up “YSR Smrithi Vanam” in memory of late YSR. He prayed God to give peace to the YSR family. The Chief Minister also wrote similar letters to the wives of Subramanyam (then Principal Secretary), Sunil Kumar Bhatia (Pilot), M S Reddy (co-Pilot) and Wesley (CSO), who died in the chopper crash along with YSR.
