Rs.100 Crore For Development Of Rural Tourism

The Principal Secretary of Tourism Chandana Khan on Thursday informed that tourism would be developed in coastal areas in the State, with Rs 100 crore

She visited Suryalanka beach of Bapatla mandal in the district. Speaking on the occasion, Chandana Khan stated that more facilities would be provided at Suryalanka beach to attract tourists. She inquired about the reasons for not taking up works even after laying foundation stone for development project at Suryalanka beach with the financial assistance of the Centre.

She stated that a tourism project would be taken up on a 10 acre land near Kakinada on the line of Shilparamam. Plans were prepared to take up tourism development works at temple centres including ancient places and temples including Tirupathi. (NSS)
