(Reuters) - Actor Saif Ali Khan has been accused of assaulting a fellow diner at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai and might be arrested, police said on Wednesday.
"Khan has been charged with assault and participating in assault, as there were two or three others involved," an official in the Mumbai police press room said. "We are investigating."
Khan, 41, was dining with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and friends at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel on Tuesday night when he got into an argument with complainant Iqbal Sharma.
TV channels said Khan was likely to be arrested and then let off on bail.
The actor had been earlier accused of assaulting a photojournalist in Patiala in 2008.
