Hyderabad, December 21: Nampally criminal court has remanded former general secretary of SEMI, Muneer Ahmed Deshmukh under 5 day police custody. The court issued these orders on the petition filed by Narayanguda police.
It is said that Muneer Ahmed had been arrested in Madhya Pradesh by Bhopal anti terrorist squad (ATS) in November 2010 and during interrogation Muneer had revealed before investigating officers that he had acquired LPG gas connection, driving license and mobile phone sim card under the named Muneer Ahmed during his stay in Hyderabad in 2006.
After the Madhya Pradesh police informed Hyderabad police regarding Muneer, Narayanguda police registered fraud case against SEMI’s former general secretary and shifted him to Hyderabad jail from Bhopal jail on December 15 on PT warrant.
He will be produced before court on Friday.
