Hyderabad, December 10:

Union Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shinde has made it clear that there was no change in the date of the all-party meeting on Telangana issue.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Shinde said that the Centre will think on changing of date if all the political parties demand it.

Telangana MPs Ponnam Prabhakar, Dr Manda Jagannadham, Dr Vivek have met Shinde today at Parliament premises. They urged the Union Home Minister not to change the date of convening of the all-party meeting scheduled to be held on December 28.

It may be recalled that following the Union Minister’s announcement of all-party meet on December 28, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and some others wanted postponement of the all-party meeting, in view of the World Telugu Conference. The TRS, CPI and many others, particularly the congress leaders of Telangana region stoutly opposed any postponement of the date for all-party meet.

The separate Telangana advocates saw sinister designs in the plea for postponement of the all party meeting announced by the Union Home Minister. Now that the Union Home Minister has made it clear that there would not be any change in the all-party meeting, there was some sort of relief among the T camp. (NSS)
