Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan have been beaten by cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who has become the youth icon of India. Sachin (38) has topped the Most Exciting Youth Brands survey conducted by the Brand Equity, While SRK, (46), and Salman, (46), landed in second and third spots respectively.
According to the survey, the youth aged between 15-24 years have chosen Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan as their Top 3 icons. Other budding stars like Virat Kohli, Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan have failed to make to the top ten list of youth icons.
However, the average age of the top 3 icons in the survey conducted by Brand Equity is 43 years, but Sachin, Shahrukh and Salman are seen as trendsetters in their profession. They are considered as the inspiring role models, have a great style quotient and are evidently convincing brand ambassadors for brands they endorse.
