Telangana State Rajaka Seva Sangham (Washermen Service Association) will be launched at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram at Bagh Lingampally on July 25.
Sangham State president K Satyanarayana and advisor K Ramulu said Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Excise Minister T. Padma Rao Goud, MLA R Krishnaiah, MLC P Ravinder and former MLA N Narsimhaiah will attend the meeting.
The meeting will discuss about washermen’s problems and take them to the notice of the TRS Government, Ramulu said. The meeting will pass a resolution demanding that the government allocate Rs 200 crore for the welfare of washermen community, fill vacant posts, allot one acre land for Dhobi Ghat and others. Hailing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s Cabinet announcements and sops, Ramulu appealed to the former to develop the Washermen community by resolving its demands. (NSS)
