March 03:

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), Mar. 3 (ANI): There was high tension in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday after a student from the district was found dead in a university in Hyderabad under mysterious circumstances.

The youth, identified as Mudasir, was found dead in his room in the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in Hyderabad on Sunday morning.

His family members and locals in Pulwama protested and mourned after news of Mudasir''s passing reached them.

"Some of the students said he had committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. But, at the same time, when we contacted other students, they were demonstrating inside the university campus, and this is fictitious. We request our government to conduct a proper investigation," said Mohammad Yusuf, Mudasir''s relative.

Some of the students said that Mudasir had committed suicide as he was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room.

However, the family members of the deceased said that the boy was murdered as he had participated in the anti Afzal guru hanging protests in Hyderabad.

The body of the victim would be reaching Pulwama in the next two or three days. Large numbers of police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed in the area to avoid further escalation of the situation. (ANI)
