TSPGECET-2015 entrance exams from June 4

The Osmania University will conduct the PGECET-2015 entrance examination for four days from 4th to 8th June in two sessions (10.00AM – 12.00 Noon and 2.00 PM – 4.00 PM). The test will be conducted in two Regional Centers i.e Hyderabad and Warangal.

The decision was taken during a meeting held at University College of Engineering in OU campus here on Saturday. The meeting was attended by TSCHE Chairman Prof T Papi Reddy, Vice-Chairman Prof K Venkatachalam, OU Registrar Prof E Suresh Kumar, PGECET Convener Prof A Venugopal Reddy and Co-convener Dr Ramesh Babu.

The Osmania University is entrusted with conduct of PGECET-2015, an entrance test for admission into ME/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Pharm. by TSCHE. Osmania University has been successfully conducting this entrance test / making admissions for the last eight years. There were about 262 Engineering colleges offering M.E/ M.Tech courses, 122 Colleges offering M.Pharmacy courses and 4 Colleges offering M.Arch. course in the state of Telangana during the academic year 2014-2015. This year a new test paper in Textile Technology (TX) has been introduced making the total number of test papers in PGECET to 18.

The notification for PGECET-2015 would be released on 04.03.2015. This year also the application submission is through online mode including the payment of registration fee. Submission of Online application / registrations will commence from 12.03.2015, candidates can visit the websites: www.tspgecet.org or www.osmania.ac.in. for submission of online application, the application / registration fee is Rs. 500 ( Rs.250 in case of SC/ST candidates). The last date of online submission without late fee is 27.04.2015, with a late fee of Rs 500/- is 11.05.2015, with late fee of Rs 2000/- is 22.05.2015, with late fee of Rs 5000/- is 28.05.2015 and with late fee of Rs 10,000/- the last date is 02.06.2015. Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the website during 23.05.2015 to 02.06.2015.

The pattern of the test will be of objective type with multiple choice questions, the candidate has to answer 120 questions in 2 hours duration. The results of the test will be declared on 24.06.2015. For writing entrance test the students should secure 50 percent marks in qualifying examination for open category and 45 per cent for reserved category. The cut off mark for qualifying in PGECET entrance test is 30 marks and for SC/ST there is no minimum mark, according to TSPGECET-2015 Convener. (INN)
