Hyderabad, sepetmber 18: Touring delegation of Karnataka after getting the details of the yeomen service of siasat and its positive results opined that there is hardly any institution which is doing such service .The work done by siasat is difficult for any Govt .
Mr. Zahid ali khan , Editor of siasat said that the purpose of these welfare activities is to bring about a revolution among the Muslims in the education and economic fields. We have the privilege of serving the people in need .All the welfare programmes have been prepared by us, others have adopted them .Mr Zahid Ali khan further told that there was no scarcity of funds .We start every programme with the name of Allah ,the Almighty and we get success from unknown sources .
He further told that whenever Siasat launched any project, its readers responded to its call and contributed generously.Without the help of its readers Siasat couldn’t have achieved success .
The Karnataka delegation was informed that every year scholarships to the to the tune of Rs.70 lakh are distributed from Millat Fund and Rs 30 lakh from Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust.
For teaching Urdu, 561centers were established and so far 5.4 lakh candidates have learnt Urdu .Some of them are Non-Muslims. Some candidates have obtained Ph.D. degrees also.
Siasat also organized a movement for coaching the candidates for recruitment of Urdu medium teachers. During the past one decade, nearly 11,000 teachers got employment and they are getting nearly Rs.20,000 as salary. With the appointment of Urdu medium teachers , the strength of the Urdu medium increased by 10% .The result of the Urdu medium schools also increased from 21% to 70%.
By coaching candidates for call centers, many candidates got jobs in multinational companies which resulted in a calm economic revolution among the Muslims .Today, nearly 17,000 Muslim youths are associated with call centers. Nearly 2000 taxi cars are engaged in transporting them. In this way, less educated Muslim youths were able to get the jobs of drivers.
Consequent on the popularization of allopathic system of medicine, Unani system of medicine was not getting enough response and the candidates were not coming forward to study Unani medicine courses. The seats in BUMS were not getting filled up.
Siasat undertook the programme of coaching the candidates for BUMS Entrance Test. The result is more number of students are getting attracted towards this course .Today, there are as many as 400 students competing for admission for 100 seats of BUMS.
The Karnataka delegation was told how the Govt. caused damage to wakf properties. It allotted wakf lands to multinational companies .This increased not only the Govt. revenue but it also filled the pockets of many politicians. Siasat launched a movemenet for protection of wakf properties. The difficulties encountered in this movement were also highlighted to the members of the delegation.
Mr.Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Managing Editor, Siasat told the delegation that by depriving the Muslims of their wakf properties,their supply line of funds was cut off. The efforts of Siasat are now paying rich dividends.
Karnataka delegation told that in their state also, wakf properties one being destroyed. When Central and State Govts. announced scholarship schemes, Muslim students did not come forward as they were not in a position to fulfill the formalities such as production of income certificate, opening of bank account , submission of applications by heads of educational institutions, attestation of gazetted officer and online registration of scholarship applications.
Siasat made all arrangements to provide these facilities at its office. Representations were made against the officers who were refusing to issue income certificates . Banks were approached to facilitate the students for opening account. Muslim and Non-Muslim gazetted officers spared there time to attest the certificates. Due to all these concerted efforts, five lakh applications were received as against the Central quota of 84,000. U.P has a quota of 3,lakh but only 60,000 applications were received there.
It was told that for maintaining cordial matrimonial relations between wife and husband, tasty dishes play an important role. In order to create an atmosphere of congenial relations among the Muslim couples, cooking classes were organized.
Many Muslim girls were not able to get good matrimonial alliances. Siasat took up this responsibility also. ‘DU BA DU’ (FACE TO FACE) programmes were arranged to arrange good matrimonial alliances.
Mr.ZaheerUddin Ali Khan further informed that the programmes organized by Siasat are less expensive because the owners of marriage halls and educational institutions provide us rent free accommodation. Experts from multinational companies offer counseling and guidance to the candidates applying for various jobs.
In order to help the school students, question banks in various subjects both in English and Urdu medium were prepared and distributed free of cost in large numbers.
