February 04:

Hyderabad, February 4: 146700 sqyd land waqf land of Dargah Hazrat Mohiuddin Durvesh has been wiped out from the scene at Karwan. The details of waqf board record and AP Gazette dated 21-3-1985 is as follows: Hyd/1091 Dargah Hzt Darwesh Mohiuddin Saheb Quadri with graveyard, Naggar Khana, Khankah saria and agricultural land no. 13-6-833 (s) (227) Amlapur karwan area 146,710 sq.yds, and land 4 big walls and small wells 25 tamarind trees. Gazette no 12-A, serial no 1858, page no 22.

Thanks to the encroachment activities of land grabbers on one side and the carelessness and negligence of waqf board on the other, Muslims have lost valuable waqf lands worth crores rather billions. The existence of waqf board is subject to the protection of waqf properties. In the light of this basic principle, non Muslims occupying the valuable assets of Muslims puts a question mark on the performance of waqf board.

When the entire property will be occupied by miscreants and the question will arise, a propos the existence of waqf board itself. Will the members, staff will then take to roads in protest, so as to get their bread and butter?
