October 11:

New Delhi, October 12: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly drugged and raped by four youths, including an acquaintance, who assured her of providing a better job, police said Tuesday.

The victim is a housemaid and has five children. She is a native of Uttar Pradesh and lives in south Delhi’s Jamia Nagar.

According to police, the accused had offered her a soft drink laced with sedative which made her unconscious and then the four took turns to rape her Monday.

“The accused are absconding,” said a police official.

“A case of rape has been registered and we are investigating the case,” said a police official.
